Joseph says:

We are here. Energetically present, but we always are. You are always energetically present as well. So it's just an opening up to this moment and not all of the stuff in this moment that you don't want to experience - because that's not what's really going on in this moment.

All of that stuff that comes up is just a temporary distraction from the Eternal nature that is at the core of this moment, that is that inner energy.  Everything else is just - you could call it an illusion if you want, although it feels pretty real. It's just a blip. It's just a temporary manifestation where underneath is this Eternal Energy.  That is the true meaning of being present being here in this now.

So we call it raw material in many senses, in the sense that you're in the physical world. You're bumping around with all of these different things, you're having reactions. You're having perceptions, you're having ideas and experiences in relationship to all of them.

All of that does equal a vibration and people have called that vibration the conscious mind, some people refer to it even as the ego, and we're not so much interested in getting into those differentiations as we are to the energetic basis because that doesn't have any sort of dogma attached to it. And your reactions to your experience, your perceptions, your opinions, all of that does set of vibration in motion and you experience that through the way that that energy feels within the body. You call it emotions in many in many senses. But it's just a physical read out, a physical registration of that vibration.

Now that vibration has a lot of different things going on. You think a lot of different thoughts throughout the day you have a lot of different experiences, a lot of different reactions, and a lot of different responses. So it's a multi-faceted energy, and in that sense you have a multi-faceted experience.

But each of those thoughts and perspectives and ideas and beliefs can be brought to what we call a resolution.  And what we mean by that is, the inner energy - if you think of all of these thoughts and ideas that you have throughout the day as a sort of nucleus or nexus point. Well that inner energy wants to flow into that and to allow it to express into higher places.

So let's say you're going through the day and you have all these different conversations and different experiences and different reactions. And then you have that as your energetic set point, if you would. Well the inner energy wants to flow into that conscious mind in that sense, into that perspective and it wants to say:

"Well, this is the next thought, and how about this? And yes this person said this to you, but how are you going to respond to that?" And so on and so forth. So while you do have that energetic nexus that is always being responded to as physical reality - people call it manifestation. You also have that inner energy which wants to take your thoughts and bring them to a slightly more resonant place, and that is an ongoing Eternal process.

So it's not meant to replace your thoughts. This inner energy doesn't want to come and disregard everything that you have thought about or anything that's important to you. And then sort of replace that thought with this idea or this energy or this consistent perspective. It wants to enliven your thoughts, it wants to enhance, it wants to uplift, it wants to bring into further expression. It wants to energize, it wants to bring into resolution, it wants to uplift, and empower that which you are about.

Not to efface it, not to remove it, but to uplift it in that partnership, yes. There are those who are self-effacing in that sense, who think that the self, or who believe that the self is evil or wrong or bad and would rather that you disregard or even remove that part of the self - and it's not going to happen. Because every time you efface the self, it's going to grow back.

It's going to keep expressing, you're going to have unique thoughts because you are a point of consciousness in a unique environment and you're going to have all of these reactions, and you have had so much going on before you came into this body.

You are an Eternal being and that Eternal self is always going to want to express. So many times, we understand if you're having all of these so-called negative thoughts, if you're having all of these thoughts and beliefs and ideas that are really uncomfortable to you, you may want to meditate to release that. But then you come out of meditation and we want you to be engaged in your world.

We want you to be active, we want you to be creative. And so that's coming out of meditation - and then many times people allow all of their old thoughts and beliefs to sort of click back into where they were, you say "Well, this is just who I am and the self is bad and wrong," but if you can come out of meditation and keep that rhythm going, then all of those thoughts that you were having before you released them..

They won't go back to where they were. But the inner energy will sweep them up into this process and you'll feel engaged in the world, but you'll also feel engaged with the inner self.

And when you can allow that process to just do its thing and then you're not doing it to achieve some sort of physical manifestation. You're not doing it to achieve some sort of end result, then the inner process can keep building because you're not putting all of those expectations or those conditions onto it. And as it keeps building and refining, and going further and further and further... Well eventually that's going to show itself in physical reality.

But if you cut it off at a certain point saying: "Where's the physical manifestation," or "I'm only doing this to get this end result and I don't see the end result, so now I have to go back into the physical world and deal with all of this." Well, you've cut off the developing process, which means that your physical reality is not able to develop either. So then you go back to the physical reality and you you blame all of these circumstances.

So you just want to let it go and go into meditation.

Meditation is a direct portal to receiving those answers, and you want to do, yes, but you'll of course want to do effectively, you want to do with the help of that inner energy. So you go into meditation and you ask the inner self, you ask your Source: "How can I be of service? How can I offer my energy? How can I offer myself? What can I do? Is there anything that I can do? Is it even effective for me to it to try to do anything?"

And you just place those few questions, and then you let it go. And you set a timer for 15, 20 minutes and you just breathe and you release the thought and then you may find "but I want to," and then you breathe and you release the thoughts.. And then you may find "well, what about..."

Just breathe and release the thought, and then you will feel the presence and the power of that inner energy.  And then from that feeling, it'll grow, it'll grow, it will grow until you're 10 minutes into it and all of a sudden the idea comes in. All of a sudden the inspiration comes in.

And it's not the one answer forevermore.

It's just your next step. And if you find yourself, in your physical life, defaulting to those old ways of being, you just need to go into that meditative state... And then whatever information you receive, that's what you want to write down. That's what you want to speak out loud. That's what you want to take action upon and follow through with.

And that'll lead you to the next thing, and the next thing, and the next thing until you get to this place where you're kind of just bogged down again and you're like, "I don't know what to do. I don't know what to think. I don't know what to say."  And that is not when you default to those old ways and try to figure it out.

That's when you go back to that meditative place, and you ask the question: "What is my next step? How do I relate? What do I say? What do I do? What is the guidance?" And you breathe, and you relax, and you receive, and then the next step reveals itself to you.
